Who are we listening? (Jn 10.1 to 11)
1 Verily, verily I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbs up some other way, is a thief and a robber.
2 But what comes through the door is the shepherd of the sheep.
3 To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice: and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.
4 After driving out all his own, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him because they know his voice;
5 but by no means follow a stranger, flee before him, because they know not the voice of strangers.
6 Jesus offered them this parable, but they understood not what things they were which he spake unto them.
It has 7 Jesus therefore said to them, Verily, verily, I am the gate for the sheep.
8 All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.
9 I am the door, if anyone enters the house, the child is go in and out, and find pasture.
10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy: I am come that they might have life and have it abundantly.
11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.


        Today's Gospel makes us think of many things, he is full of valuable information and important for our salvation. I want, however, to stick to a specific point: to whom we are listening.

        So often prefer to listen to what the world tells us we prefer to believe that we despise criticism or praise that elude us. How often we hear the voice of Jesus calling us to walk in the door which is Him, but "we believe" it is not us. The thieves are there in the world, stealing the dignity, joy, purity, faith ... and what are we doing? We protect our homes against burglars, but we protect our hearts against the bandits who are not of the flesh?
        Today, Jesus comes to ask you to listen to His voice, for it alone is worthy of attention. What we need is to hear the voice that leads to life, which fills us with true happiness, with the certainty that the door that will lead us to spend eternity and not for death.
